Introduction to Drama
Drama is of the utmost importance at Highfield and all children are involved in a production during their time at Highfield. In Years 4-8, Drama is taught in one lesson a week. The emphasis in lessons is to create a love of Drama and to expose children to as many elements of the art as possible. They are involved in mime, improvised work, devised work and script work. We encourage the children to have fun, develop self-confidence and co-operate with each other.

We have put on some wonderful performances, not least those at the end of Year 8 when the entire year group work tirelessly to put a production on in 10 days post Common Entrance as a finale to their time at Highfield

Suzannah Cryer is Head of Drama.
