Team Sports are a major part of English Boarding School life. Throughout the year boys play Football, Rugby and Cricket, while girls play Netball, Lacrosse and Rounders. Hockey, Swimming and Tennis are enjoyed by both. All pupils have the opportunity to 'represent their school' in closely fought competitive matches against other schools.

To incorporate the excitement of Team Sports into the Summer School, each week the students will experience a week-long introductory course to an English School Sport. Divided into groups according to gender and age, the course will consist of three, two hour sessions delivered by Sports Coaches with a minimum Level 2 NGB Coaching Qualification and up to date First Aid Training. The aim will be to give them a 'taste' for the sport through teaching the basic skills in the first hour, with the opportunity to put

At the end of each week children are awarded prizes alongside awards for 'Best Listener', 'Most Improved' and 'Most Enthusiastic' for example. The overriding objective of the Sports Programme is to encourage participation by making each sport fun and engaging for all ages and abilities. Through this positive experience of Sport students will be encouraged to develop ‘skills for life’; building confidence and instilling the value of team work.

On the last Saturday of the course we run an English style 'School Sports Day' providing athletics training and competitions. English weather allowing!
