Join us and make a real difference to a child this summer

The Highreach Holiday is a week-long, volunteer-run, residential holiday at Highfield for Moderately and Severely Learning disabled children.  It is modelled on the Oundle School Mencap Holiday, which has been running successfully for over 30 years. As well as providing 20 children with a wonderful holiday, the week also provides a valuable respite for their families, often giving them their only opportunity to holiday away from home.

What would I need to do?

As a volunteer, you'd need to give one week of your time to live in the school from Sunday 5th to 12th August 2018, as well as attending a couple of training days. You will be part of a group of 4, led by an experienced Group Leader.  You will also be paired with one of the holidaymakers for the week as their “night time helper”.  The good news is The Oundle School Mencap Holiday team have agreed to help and support us over our first three years so we can be confident you have the support to be a great volunteer and as a group we will have all the skills we need.

The feedback from Oundle volunteers is that the experience is truly inspirational, great fun and of course super for you CV!

How do I sign up?
