On Friday, 25th January four of Highfield’s young musicians from years 5 and 6 performed in a lunchtime cushion concert. The performers were Tom Galetti (clarinet), India Hamilton (piano), Max Noble (piano) and Imogen Krens (violin)
Tom, India, Max and Imogen performed a delightful concert for staff and pupils in the main music room in the Orr Music School. The audience were treated to performances of ‘Any Dream Will do’ (Lloyd Webber) on the clarinet, some jazz piano, ‘Wind Up’ (Timothy Kraemer) on the violin and a rendition of Scott Joplin’s famous ragtime piece, ‘Maple Leaf Rag’.
The lunchtime cushion concert series is an opportunity for young musicians to perform regularly in front of an audience relaxing on cushions.
