May I wish you a very warm welcome to the Highfield Website and give you a flavour of Highfield School. Highfield is a happy school, the happiest I have worked in. The children bubble with enthusiasm for all that goes on and show a courtesy, respect and concern for one another that is genuinely heart-warming....
Highfield School was originally founded in Southampton in the Summer Term of 1892 by Mr E A Wells, the first Headmaster and owner. The School opened as a boys' prep school with 18 pupils. In 1904 Mr William Mills became owner and Headmaster. It was Mr Mills who moved Highfield to its present site of some 175 acres in Liphook, Hampshire, on the beautiful West Sussex/Hampshire border......
One of the great features of Highfield is that it doesn't just feed a narrow range of Senior Schools. We are determined to ensure that each of our pupils goes to the School that is right for them, we are always looking for the 'best fit' in terms of personality and abilities, also meeting parents needs and expectations.
Highfield is committed to providing its pupils with a broad education and allowing them to develop their strengths and skills. These Awards and Scholarships provide clear evidence that we are succeeding in this aim.
The assessment of the Ofsted Inspections who visited Highfield in February 2008 was that the Boarding provision at Highfield is 'OUTSTANDING' "There is a truly family atmosphere and no discrimination between the sexes or the ages in the houses. The pupils are very much at ease with each other. This is a real strength of boarding at the school" To read the full Inspection Report please follow the link below
