Private Peaceful - Year 7 Play

This challenging and emotionally charged story was brought to life with great confidence and compassion by the whole cast. The audience was transported to the trenches of World War One, as the young private, Thomas Peaceful, played with exceptional poise and maturity by Alfie Farndale, looks back over his life. Outstanding performances on the stage were accompanied by short pieces of film, masterfully pieced together by Mr Davies, using blue screen and other tricks of technical wizardry to place the actors in No-Man's Land, as well as convincing the audience of the death of Thomas's father (played by Mr Dunn).

Of course an ambitious production such as this is the result of the extreme dedication of a huge number of staff and parent volunteers who helped the directors Mr Searson and Miss Hendry. We are enormously grateful to all of them.
