| The following Golden Rules form the backbone to the system of Personal and Social Development we use at Brookham; Circle Time. By encouraging the children to be part of the rule making process they learn why we need rules and thus the reason for keeping them. |

We will be kind and thoughtful
We will not hurt people's feelings |
We will work hard
We will not waste people's time |
We will look after property
We will not waste or damage things |
We will listen to people
We will not interrupt |
We will be honest
We will not cover up the truth |
Copies of these rules can be found all over the school and even before the children can read they will know and understand them. They cover almost all incidents that may occur in the school environment. |
