Computers Donated to Africa
Over the Summer, Highfield received a delivery of new computers and donated the 20 old computers that were replaced to IT Schools Africa (ITSA) to help local unemployed people, students and people with special needs, gain IT and workplace skills.
ITSA wipe, clean, and upgrade these computers before sending them to their partner charities in Africa. In Africa the technical team will re-test everything then distribute them to schools at a low-cost, giving Highfield’s computers another five to six years of life, possibly even longer.
Over the last 11 years ITSA have sent over 45,000 computers to Africa, trained more than 750 teachers in IT, equipped 1,500 schools with computers and given access to IT to millions of children.
