Highfield's Got Talent
This year’s Talent Show, which took place at the end of last term, was all about quality rather than quantity and it must be said that the standard of performance from all 16 acts who performed was the strongest I have seen for many years.
From over 20 acts we got down to 16; some not making it through the auditions and others having the traditional ‘Rock n Roll’ arguments and disbanding their act before their first performance. Again, we saw a huge range of acts including: ballet; acting; stand-up; singing
With a new lighting rig and a Theatre crammed full of expectant patrons, the show started with a bang as the Year 7 boys delivered a group version of A Man’s Not Hot. The acts that followed performed brilliantly, and with the results in it was time to reveal the winners. The Year 8 girls took the title, performing gymnastics to the song Silence by Marshmello; they
displayed more lifts and throws than a Strictly Come Dancing Performance – truly
