Year 3 Ceilidh
Last week, Year 3 held a ceilidh performance for parents and grandparents. A ceilidh is a social event where Scottish dancing is performed. Our ceilidh was perfectly timed for Burns Night. Year 3 have been working very hard to learn the dances over the last few weeks. The three dances performed were the ‘Military Two Step’, a fast couple’s dance, the ‘St Bernard’s Waltz’, a slow and smooth couple’s dance and the ‘Dashing White Sergeant’, a fast paced, very tricky six person dance. All of the children were very poised and graceful and they worked wonderfully with their partners. There was a lot of enthusiasm in all of the dances and the timing was impeccable.
