"It is not joy that makes us grateful; it is gratitude that makes us joyful" David Steindl-Rast
Two events have particularly resonated this week: The first was Brookham’s Harvest Festival, organised by our wonderful music teachers, Mary Hall and John Mühlemann. The school came together to give thanks for the food we eat through the joy of singing. As we raised our voices together in our beautiful chapel, the fun, passion and sense of community that singing engenders was palpable.
The second event took place today, when we all learnt about El Día de los Muertos. With a focus on giving thanks for family and friends, once again the theme of community was clearly visible.
The amazing family that surrounds us all at Brookham is something to be cherished. It is what makes Brookham a truly special school.
