Flying rockets, harvest celebrations and El Dia de los Muertos!
What a busy, creative and fun week Year 2 had before Half-Term.
The children have spent this half term designing and creating their rockets in DT ready for launch day. There was much excitement last week as their creations shot into the sky, not quite reaching space, but almost!
Harvest assembly was magical; the children sang their songs and the sun streamed through the beautiful chapel windows. It was not only a harvest celebration, but also a wonderful way to display all that they have achieved in their music lessons so far this term.
During Spanish lessons, the children have been learning about the many Spanish speaking countries, their traditions and cultures. El Dia de los Muertos, a lively Mexican festival, was transported to Brookham for one day only, providing a colourful and vibrant spectacle that the children really enjoyed.
