The Year 6 annual trip to the theatre created much anticipation as we looked forward to seeing David Walliam’s ‘The Midnight Gang’ at Chichester Festival Theatre.

The story tells of five children who all find themselves in hospital for a variety of reasons, including Tom who’s been hit on the head by a cricket ball and really doesn’t want to go back to school. When the clock strikes midnight, they soon discover that something far more exciting is happening beyond the confines of the children’s ward.

Many of the children had read the book and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the story brought to life, particularly as most of the cast were children themselves.   This was a lovely highlight for Year 6 in the Autumn Term and the theatre experience was one which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

A huge thank you to Miss Liddell, Mrs Fletcher, Miss Watts, Mrs Fasham, Mr Figgis, Mrs Jenner for helping to make the day such a wonderful experience.
