Highfield and Brookham Sponsored Walk
On the afternoon of Saturday, 27th April, we are holding a Sponsored Walk to raise funds for HighReach Holidays.
HighReach is a week-long, volunteer-run, residential holiday at our school for moderately and severely learning disabled children.
We see this as an opportunity for those who wish to support the HighReach Holiday programme to do so through sponsoring our walk. Last year, the our Sponsored Walk raised a very impressive £3,850. This year, we would like to raise £4,000 for this most excellent cause.
We have planned two walks; one shorter (but no less wonderful) walk of 3km for Brookham children and a longer (more challenging) walk of 4.5km for Highfield children.
HighReach Holidays has touched a great deal of people and it is no exaggeration to say that the experiences for those who attended the holiday last year have been life changing. The parents had the opportunity for respite, the volunteers, learning new skills and truly making a difference to people's lives while meeting new people and sharing experiences and, of course, the young people who were in our care enjoying the holiday.
With your generous sponsorship we can continue to make a valued difference to families and children.
It would be amazing if everyone reading this could make a donation today.
