Jason Ellis-Woodley and Hannah Cozens visited Highfield and Brookham Schools in Liphook last week to deliver a hockey masterclass for the U9 and U10 girls.

Jason Ellis-Woodley is currently the Hockey Master at Charterhouse School in Godalming. He has years of experience as a strength and conditioning coach for children and adults alike, including Surbiton Hockey Club and Reed’s School in Cobham. He was joined by Hannah Cozens who is currently a Welsh International Hockey player and is currently coaching Hockey at Charterhouse School.

The session focused on teaching the young aspiring hockey players key technical skills such as passing, tackling and dribbling. They gave every child specific feedback on their technique to ensure that each child learnt something that would push them forward in their game play.

Phillip Evitt, Headmaster at Highfield School said,

The girls thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon with Jason and Hannah and we thank them for giving up their time to come and inspire our girls. Hockey is a huge part of our school community and the girls can’t wait to put their new skills into practise on our brand-new floodlit all-weather astro later in the year.

To find out about Highfield and Brookham Schools and the fantastic sporting opportunities we offer, why not book a personalised visit?
