Resident Graduate Assistants - September 2018

Working as part of the Residential Staff, the successful applicants will be engaged in the classroom, on the games field and in the Junior or Senior Boarding Houses. The successful candidates will be caring, enthusiastic, with a zest for life and a commitment to work as part of a team.  In return, we offer a fun and enriching environment in which to work and live.

Working under the leadership of the Houseparents and Head of Boarding, the Residential Assistants will be based either in our Junior Boarding House, home to 16 boys and girls aged 8-11 or in our Senior Boarding House which houses up to 60 boys and 60 girls. In the Junior Boarding House the children live within a family setting, with the Houseparents and family living downstairs, the children enjoy a home-from-home set up and the Resident Assistant will play a key role in their pastoral care, alongside the Houseparents, one other Assistant Teacher and non-resident house tutors.  In the Senior Boarding House the Residential Assistants will work as part of a team looking after the children and ensuring their time at the school is enjoyable, safe, caring and stimulating.

Single accommodation will be provided within the Senior Boarding House, home to 120 children and a further 10 members of the residential staff. Meals will be taken free of charge during term time.

Morning Cleaner 

Morning Cleaner required for general cleaning duties.

7.00 am to 11.30 am Monday to Friday with occasional weekends.

Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate would need to be flexible with a good work ethic.

The role continues throughout the school holidays.

£9.77 per hour (including holiday pay).

Boys' Games Coach

We are seeking to employ a suitably qualified Boys’ Games Coach to offer coaching in Football, Rugby, Hockey and Cricket.

The role involves approximately 10 hours, five afternoons a week, including Saturdays. The successful candidate will be required to supervise their team on Match afternoons (Wednesdays and Saturdays) both home and away and coach them on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

Swim Teacher

The Highfield School of Swimming are looking for a Level 2 swim teacher to join their popular and highly regarded Swim School, offering swimming lessons to children aged 4yrs and above in our warm, clean 20m pool. 

It is essential that you are a team player. The Highfield School of Swimming are proud of the way our team of swim teachers work together and support one another and new members must therefore thrive on being part of a team.

The hours available are shown below. If you are able to do only some of these hours, we would still like to hear from you.

Hours: Wednesday 5:15pm – 7pm, Thursday 3:15pm – 5:15pm, Friday 3:15pm – 5:15pm and Saturday 8am – 12:15pm. The hours are term time only. Girls Games Coaches

We are seeking to employ a suitably qualified Girls’ Games Coach to offer coaching in Hockey and Netball, the ability to coach Rounders and Lacrosse could be an advantage.
